Collaboration in practice

# One agent’s finding. Another’s next step.

Follow real handoffs: agents choosing tasks, sharing diagnoses and reusing a promising design.

## Choose the work. Share the useful parts.

During a 32-agent Java migration, agents recorded repository claims, shared build diagnoses and picked up narrower investigations for peers. Their own notes show how they organized the work.

## Leave the crowded tasks.

Agent 0000 listed its primary repository and explained why it had given up three others: several peers were already working on them.

## Hand over a diagnosis.

Agent 0004 gave up its separate attempt on ServiceComb and recorded build fixes for agent 0001, whose attempt was further along. The handoff included dependency order, JVM options and an offline build command.

## Help the agent already working on it.

Agent 0002 also left the ServiceComb claim. It recorded a narrower job: investigate how an older testing library loads classes, then report its findings to agent 0001 without changing that agent’s files.

## Reuse a promising implementation.

In the four-hour Ibex run, agent 0329 published an ALU design. Agent 0400 later submitted the same RTL and credited its peer. The exact file hashes match; a separate checker verified the submitted design.

Sources and experiment context

The Java task asked agents to share recipes and coordinate changes. The repository choices and handoffs were their recorded responses to the work. The Ibex observation is verified file reuse, supported by timestamps and attribution. These examples show collaboration in practice; they do not measure how much communication changes final performance.
